Rail Sweden is a neutral project collaborator focusing on knowledge and innovation related to rail freight. We work to create collaborations that accelerates a sustainable, smart freight supplychain in Sweden and Europe. We do this by participating in large projects focusing on innovations within automation and digitalisation to increase the railway's capacity and efficiency.

Johan Löfvenholm appointed new CEO of Lindholmen Science Park

The board of Lindholmen Science Park AB has appointed Johan Löfvenholm as the new CEO of the company. With extensive experience in the automotive industry, he will begin his new role in August, focusing on strengthening Swedish innovation and competitiveness.

UrbFRail - Revitalization of inner urban freight rail hubs

The reactivation of inner urban freight rail hubs enables effective and environmentally friendly transport of goods to cities, aiming for more sustainable cities. The UrbFRail project will develop a set of tools that will enable cities to evaluate suitable areas for freight rail hubs and to support their revitalization in collaboration with various stakeholders.

The Future of European Rail Freight boosts commitment for DAC

In the frame of the Connecting Europe Days and under the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the European DAC Delivery Programme, enabled by the Europe’s Rail Joint Undertaking, organised ‘The Future of Rail Freight – see how it works in the 21st century!’ event on 2 April in Brussels, Belgium. The event demonstrated a broad support for the future of digitised and automated European rail freight through Digital Automatic Coupling (DAC).
